Pager Codes

These codes are used in pager callouts to describe the nature of the incident:

• 00 – Police, SAR
• 01 – Fire
• 02 – St John
• 03 – Good Samaritan
• 04 – Activated by RCCNZ
• 05 – Testing
• 999 – Major Incident

In addition St John now code the level or urgency using colours:

• Purple – MAX URGENCY
• Red – emergency
• Orange – urgent
• Green – non urgent
• Grey – low priority

We must respond to Purple, Red and Orange with maximum urgency. No time to brush our hair, just get down to the base as soon as possible.
