Queen Charlotte Walkway

• Approximately 15,000 – 20,000 people use all or part of the track each year
• 8,000 to 10,000 people walk or cycle the track in it’s entirety each year

Marina Berths

• There is in excess of 1,250 berths located in Marlborough Sound Marinas
• More than 400 additional boats are accommodated in boat sheds and storage compounds

• There are 5,789 dwellings and baches in the Marlborough Sounds area
• Excluding Picton and Waikawa, there are 3,451
• People from Nelson own 16% of the total number of properties and 26% if Picton and Waikawa are excluded
• People from Canterbury own 14% of the total number of properties and 17% if Picton and Waikawa are excluded
